These Guys Pour Molten Metal over Wood to Make One-of-a-Kind Furniture

Now this is something you don’t see every day. Furniture artist Hilla Shamia has developed a unique process for pouring molten metal over carved tree trunks, resulting in amazing furniture!

These unique pieces of furniture come from an elegant new process…

… using molds to guide the liquid metal, they craft special shapes to fit with the wood.

The metal doesn’t burn the wood. It merely charrs the edges.

The results are simply breath-taking.

This is truly an innovative process – the metal flows into the natural cracks in the tree trunks, creating a fused connection between metal and wood… and what a beautiful effect it is!

This Escape Slide Discovered After a Fire Looks Both Fun and Terrifying!

These pics were posted on Reddit today showing an escape slide built during the cold war nuclear bomb scare. It was later hidden and went undiscovered until a fire in 1995. Today it’s accessible to the public, but I don’t know if I want to try it out myself!

This escape slide in Taiwan was discovered after a fire in 1995.

The twisting slide goes down over 100 feet below ground, to a bomb shelter built after the discovery of the atom bomb.

Okay… that person is just a little creepy!

I Thought I Knew How to Have Fun at the Office… Then I Found These Guys!

Wishing you could escape the office for a little adventure? Take a hint from these guys – you’re never too busy to go on a little “Office Safari!” Mike and Ben from the UK had their friends take a series of pics posing in front of animal shots at work. The results? Awesome.
This is so creative and fun! I can’t wait to try this at work. The combos people come up with are so unique and different. I like how they each match the person in involved in their own way!
